Who are Joy and Anxiety?
In the sequel to Inside Out (2015), the mind of teenager Riley Andersen discovers new emotions. In addition to the well-known Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, which previously dominated the girl’s control center in her consciousness, come the feared Anxiety along with Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Nostalgia. As she prepares for high school, Riley’s original emotions work together, placing her memories in a new space to help build her character, resulting in the creation of threads that express the inner self.
